Exhibition Announced for YPA’s 2016 Mentoring Program

Join us at Photoville 2017

Our theme, “American Landscapes“, was enthusiastically embraced by a group of young artists for YPA’s 2016 Mentoring Program. YPA is pleased to announce that images from our program will be exhibited throughout Photoville’s run this September in ASMPNY’s container. The exhibit will feature one image from each project submitted by the program’s 24 participants.

In their container, ASMPNY is showcasing work by a diverse selection of its members at Photoville. The striking photos on display drawn from ASMP’s 2017 Photo Annual were curated by Julie Graham, an editor, writer, and publisher of aCurator.

In addition, ASMP is providing free on-site portfolio reviews to the public, which gives photographers feedback from an array of experienced industry professionals, including editors, curators and consultants. For free portfolio reviews, open to the public, sign up (same day) at ASMPNY’s container at Photoville.

Thanks to our major founding sponsor, the American Society of Media Photographers Foundation and four ASMP chapters, teams met in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia where seven mentors worked 24 mentees in interpreting this theme. You can see the individual submissions from all seven teams here.
